Dewayne Hendrix, DE, Pittsburgh #8

6032, 265, 4.86

Notes: From O’Fallon, IL. Highly recruited out of high school, he originally went to Tennessee, where he played in 7 games with 2 tackles on the season in 2014. Sat out the 2015 season under NCAA transfer rules. Opening-day starter at defensive end for Pitt, but sustained a season-ending foot injury early in the game and was lost for the season in 2016. Played in 11 games, starting 10 at defensive end (missed one game due to injury), totaled 21 tackles, 5 TFL, 3 sacks and 1 FR in 2017.

Positives: Talented prospect with double-digit sack potential. Good quickness, speed and athletic ability. Can dip his shoulder and win around the corner. Shows strong hand use.

Negatives: Inconsistent production to this point.

Summary: Good upside prospect who could dramatically move up if he puts it all together as a senior.
