Preston Williams, WR, Colorado State #11

6031, 210, 4.58

Notes: From Lovejoy, GA. Highly recruited prep who started college career at Tennessee. Caught 7 passes for 158 yards (22.6 avg.) and 2 TD with the Vols in 2015. Caught 9-89 in 2016. Transferred to Colorado State after two seasons. Sat out the 2017 season due to NCAA Division I transfer rules.

Positives: Tall, lanky receiver with above-average speed. Good athlete. Plucks the ball with his hands. Gets open downfield. Will come inside. Adjusts well to the ball. Can go up and high-point the ball. Effective on the back-shoulder fade. Good eye-hand coordination and body control. Knows how to use his body to shield defenders. Runs well after the catch. Stays on his feet and looks for more yardage. Doesn’t go down easily. Good balance. Shows some burst and acceleration.

Negatives: Does not have elite quickness, acceleration and pure speed to truly pull away from defenders. Could get stronger.

Summary: Figures to get the opportunity to catch a lot of balls at CSU and could climb draft boards as he puts more production on tape.
