Caught a touchdown on one in every 4.1 catches during career with Hawkeyes. Has interest in becoming an orthopedic surgeon when his playing days are over. Moves through the secondary like a wide receiver. Mismatch for safeties and linebackers downfield. Good hands and natural pass-catching ability. Can adjust to and go get the ball, wherever it is. Dynamic downfield target in the passing game. Outstanding catch radius and leaping ability. Very effective red zone receiver. Can pull away from defenders after the catch. Comes off the ball quickly and establishes position as a blocker. Proficent technique. Shows effort and can put people away when he puts his mind to it. Highly versatile. Can line up at the line, out wide or be a move tight end. Good football intelligence. Very intelligent with sound character.

Negatives: Lacks explosiveness and pop as an in-line blocker. Can improve strength and intensity. Seemed to fall out of favor with coaches a bit this past season.
