Travon McMillian, RB, Colorado #34

5112, 210, 4.50

Notes: From Woodbridge, VA. Began college career at Virginia Tech. Started as a freshman; rushed 200-1,042-7 (5.2 avg.) and caught 12-64-1 in 2015. Productivity tapered off with coaching change from Frank Beamer to Justin Fuente with Hokies and more of a zone running scheme. Rushed 145-671-7 (4.6 avg.) and caught 11-120-3 in 2016. Rushed 104-439-2 (4.2 avg.) and caught 12-173-3 in 2017. Earned degree in finance from Virginia Tech. Graduate transfer to the Buffaloes in January 2018.

Positives: Nice size-speed ratio. Very effective one-cut, go-style runner. Decisive runner. Runs through tackles. Makes some nice cuts. Good balance and determination. Can catch the ball out of the backfield. Has returned kickoffs.

Negatives: No truly outstanding characteristic. Might not be a true bell-cow caliber back.

Summary: Reminds me a bit of former Auburn and Lions RB Kerryon Johnson. Good, not great, all-around prospect. Could see him being effective in a two-back rotation.
