Notes: From Houston, TX. Became a starter the final 5 games of his freshman campaign, recording 33 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 2 PBU and 2 FF in 2014. Played in 3 games, making 12 tackles, 1 TFL and 1 PBU in 2015, before being sidelined the rest of the season due to elbow (dislocated in fall camp) and torn labrum that required surgery. Received a medical redshirt for the season. Returned to play in all 13 games, posting 74 tackles, 9 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 PBU and 1 FF in 2016. Started all 13 games at linebacker and notched 78 tackles, 12 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 1 INT, 2 PBU and 1 FF in 2017.
Positives: Very sound understanding of the defense and is a student of the game. Gets upfield and can rush the passer. Effective blitzer. Plays with intensity and passion. Disruptive at times and makes plays in all phases.
Negatives: Is not a great open-field athlete and has no truly outstanding physical characteristic.
