Devin Bush, ILB-OLB, Michigan #10

5112, 240, 4.68

Notes: From Pembroke Pines, FL. His father, Devin Bush Sr., played safety at Florida State and with the Falcons, Rams and Browns in the NFL (1995-2002). Turned down scholarship offer from FSU, choosing Michigan instead, where his father is a defensive assistant. Played in all 13 games on special teams and saw action at linebacker in 7 games as a true freshman in 2016, credited with 12 tackles and 0.5 TFL. Emerged as starting inside linebacker with 102 tackles, 9.5 TFL, 5 sacks, 9 PBU and 1 INT in 2017. Named one of 4 team captains in 2018. Added weight (from 225 in January to 240 pounds in July) coming into the 2018 campaign.

Positives: NFL bloodlines. Can take over a game with impact plays. Plays hard. Quick, fast and aggressive. Can shoot gaps to get to the passer and disrupt against the run. Sideline-to-sideline range and good inside-out pursuit. Can walk out and cover in the slot. Football is important to him.

Negatives: Undersized and lacks natural bulk and powerful frame.

Summary: Shorter than you’d prefer, but he is a playmaker who should be very productive in the right scheme at the next level.
