6036, 255, 4.84

Notes: Name is pronounced, Oh-Shane Zim-ah-Nez. From Ahoskie, NC. Redshirted in 2014. Started all 12 games at defensive end, made 32 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 5 sacks, 1 FR and 4 PBU, in 2015. Played in 13 games, starting 12, with 42 tackles, 11.5 TFL, 7.5 sacks, 3 FF, 2 FR and 3 PBU, in 2016. Started all 12 games, posting 44 tackles, 14 TFL, 8.5 sacks, 4 FF and 3 PBU, in 2017.

Positives: Quick and explosive off the snap. Plays with power. Really knows how to use his hands, especially as a pass rusher off the edge. Keeps blockers off his body, can dip and bend and shorten the corner. Has variety as a rusher and can counter inside. Very good athlete with good change of direction, flexibility, body control and burst. Long arms. Gets off blocks and creates disruption. Shows good feel for the game and instincts. Hustles in pursuit. Has played both end spots.

Negatives: Undersized as a pure defensive end by pro standards. Still needs some technique work for the pro scheme he will be playing in. Lacks top bulk at the point of attack.

Summary: Could be this year's Marcus Davenport. Has the size and athleticism to play end in a 4-3 or be an outside linebacker in a 3-4. Could move up with post season workouts.
