Notes: From Charlotte, NC. High school tight end and defensive end. Redshirted as a tight end in 2014. Worked at defensive tackle during spring workouts in 2015, then moved to offensive guard in the fall, dealt with some injuries and played mostly on special teams. Started every game in 2016. Started all 13 games in 2017. Earned his degree in business supply operations management in December 2017, and is pursuing a graduate certificate in youth development and leadership. Posted some elite measureables a the Combine, with a 1.69 10-yard split, 4.92 forty and did 34 reps at 225 pounds.

Positives: Tough, physical player with good strength. Smart, line leader-type. Understands the game. Effective reach blocker who gets position, stays on his feet and sustains nicely. Does a nice job at the second level. Outstanding athleticism for the position. Sound technician with good hand use and leverage. Solid anchor on pass protection. Plays with passion and intensity. Finishes. Can play all three interior offensive line spots.

Negatives: Average natural size. Lacks explosiveness and power to move people off the ball and drive defenders. Gives ground at times on pass protection, yet recovers nicely.

Summary: Best fit will be in a zone blocking scheme that relies more on his movement and efficiency than pure power to move people off the ball.
